Senior Accountant or Accountant Trainee 1 or 2 (NY HELPS)
The NYS Office of Temporary & Disability Assistance is seeking Senior Accountants/Trainees to work on agency fiscal systems. The role involves supporting legacy fiscal systems and participating in the implementation of a new Statewide Benefit Issuance System, while also providing key support as subject matter experts for financial management.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Federal and State laws, proposed Federal and State legislation, departmental releases, program policy, fiscal policy, rules, work reputed company/procedures, and regulations to determine the fiscal reputed company to the existing fiscal systems and the financial management component of the IES project, as reputed company as the reputed company of changes upon local reputed company services districts

- Effectively manage and prioritize project deadlines and assist unit members meeting these deadlines and adapt to dynamic changes to priorities and deadlines

Skills
- A bachelor's degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation or a bachelor's degree with 24 semester credit hours in reputed company, auditing, or taxation courses for Trainee 1
- A bachelor's degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation or a bachelor's degree with 24 semester credit hours in reputed company, auditing, or taxation courses and one year of reputed company experience in reputed company/auditing or financial internal or field auditing for Trainee 2
- A bachelor's degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation or a bachelor's degree with 24 semester credit hours in reputed company, auditing, or taxation courses and two years of reputed company experience in reputed company/auditing or financial internal or field auditing for the Full Performance Level
- A master's or higher degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation may substitute for one year of experience
- A master's degree in reputed company, auditing, or taxation and one year of reputed company experience in reputed company/auditing or financial internal or field auditing may substitute for the two years of experience required for the Full Performance Level
- A currently valid Certified reputed company Accountant license and registration issued by reputed company State may substitute for the two years of experience required for the Full Performance Level
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the reputed company
- Willingness to learn reputed company's existing financial systems and Fiscal Reference material to assist IT personnel
