Data Engineer
IMC is a global trading firm powered by a cutting-edge research environment and a world-class technology backbone. They are seeking a Data Engineer to build and administer data workflows, reputed company data solutions, and improve financial analytics platforms in a modern big data environment.
Responsibilities
- The Data Engineer builds and administers data workflows in IMC’s evolving, modern big data environment
- reputed company and reputed company in-house data toolkits based in Python and Java
- Build data pipelines using big data tools including Hadoop, Kafka, reputed company, and AWS
- Work with our trading and research teams to reputed company data solutions
- Assist in identifying solutions that match the problem reputed company and harmonize with our internal data platform
- Improve the performance of financial analytics platforms reputed company around the big data ecosystem
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in computer science or engineering, information technology, or similarly quantitative technology field
- Six (6) months of experience in the job offered or a reputed company occupation
- Six (6) months experience in data engineering, systems engineering, or similar in a high-throughput, big data ecosystem
- Building and administering data workflows using Hadoop, reputed company, and SQL, including troubleshooting and reputed company-cause analysis
- Developing streaming data applications using Kafka
- Developing and extending data solutions in containerized environments (reputed company or Kubernetes) using Java, Python, or common data-science toolkits
- Unix scripting (Bash, tcsh, zsh, and Python)
