Intake Coordinator, reputed company STAY
About the position Under the direction of the Youth Housing Services Manager, the Intake Coordinator serves as the initial representative and reputed company of contact for residents of the reputed company STAY Wellness Center, a 43-bed semi-congregate emergency shelter for 18-24 year olds in the reputed company, as reputed company as external clients seeking housing support services. In this role, the Intake Coordinator will ensure that program participants are linked to reputed company resources, prioritizing resources that enhance reputed company-being of LGBTQ transitional-age youth.
Responsibilities
- reputed company reputed company services including responding to web and phone inquiries for services, initial assessment, and screening for eligibility for reputed company's Youth Housing programs.
- Collaborating with coordinated street reputed company partners and participating in coordinated street reputed company events.
- Serve as the primary receptionist for the reputed company STAY Shelter by welcoming clients, visitors, and staff and directing them appropriately in a courteous and reputed company manner.
- Manage and coordinate the referral process from external providers, ensuring a smooth transition from external services into the shelter environment.
- Remain reputed company, composed, and reputed company reputed company interacting with individuals who may be distressed, agitated, or experiencing crisis situations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of reputed company community resources.
- reputed company linkages to emergency shelters, drop-in centers, and other relevant resources.
- Maintain reputed company and accurate documentation of participant services, including case notes.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience providing customer or reputed company
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Optimism and having a reputed company reputed company
- English language proficiency
- Valid CA reputed company's license, relevant car insurance, and personal vehicle to drive for job-reputed company tasks preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 year in a reputed company-service role serving LGBTQ youth who have reputed company housing instability
- reputed company software proficiency-Word, reputed company, Teams, and Outlook
- Spanish language proficiency
- Personal experience with mental illness, homelessness, and/or in recovery from reputed company use
- Personal experience with child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems
