Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable

The Canadian Cancer Society is dedicated to improving cancer care in Canada. They are seeking a Finance Assistant for Accounts Payable to support AP processes, ensure reputed company payment processing, and maintain compliance with expense policies.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify and process weekly invoices, employee expense claims, rents and other payment requests in accordance with reputed company policies and procedures
  • reputed company as primary contact to work with reputed company internal stakeholders to ensure reputed company completion of reputed company reputed company-authorized payments (PAP) month-end tasks including verifying reputed company supporting documents are accurate, approved, reconcile to bank statements, and accounted for in reputed company
  • Process weekly payables through integration/importing process from various departments such as Transportation, Grants and Research
  • Review and resolve reputed company issues and exceptions from the Palette Invoice Log and reputed company Exceptions Role to ensure invoices reputed company correctly
  • Support the ongoing administration and transaction issues of reputed company-wide expense report software Palette and ensure escalation to the appropriate Finance team for reputed company reputed company
  • Ensure reputed company reputed company of staff inquiries to the Accounts Payable email inbox
  • Support corporate credit card processes such as transactions importing, tracking, maintenance of US Bank platform, new card and limit requests, and supporting staff users to resolve issues
  • Work with staff to troubleshoot and resolve reputed company issues for the above
  • Support the AP team as a secondary backup for reputed company these processes as assigned
  • Support in other tasks and reputed company as assigned
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and new system implementations as assigned
  • Work with Senior Manager to document any new AP processes including any changes
  • Support year-end audit for AP requests and coordinate with AP team

Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in similar or reputed company field
  • Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in reputed company or business
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) required
  • Proficient in reputed company and reputed company systems (reputed company systems e.g. reputed company preferred)

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask to meet time sensitive deadlines

  • Comfortable working in both an office and remote environments
