[Remote] Accounts Payable Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for processing vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements while ensuring compliance with company policies. This remote role requires the candidate to live reputed company one hour of Austin, Texas, and involves maintaining vendor records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the month-end reputed company process.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor bills for payment
- Match bills to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Ensure bills are properly coded and approved in accordance with company policies
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues with vendors and internal departments
- Establish and maintain vendor records
- Collect and maintain required vendor documentation, including W-9 forms
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve account discrepancies
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances
- Review employee expense reports for compliance with company travel and expense policies
- Process approved reimbursements in a reputed company manner
- Communicate with employees regarding missing documentation or policy exceptions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare AP aging reports and other financial reports as requested
- Support reputed company audits by providing documentation
- Maintain organized electronic and physical AP records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and reputed company procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
- Assist with special reputed company and other reputed company duties as assigned
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in reputed company
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Advanced proficiency in reputed company and financial systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., reputed company or similar) preferred
