The role involves leading the architecture and implementation of edge services, ensuring reliable and efficient operations for thousands of restaurant locations.
Responsibilities
- reputed company the architecture and implementation of edge services in Go, including the reputed company-to-edge synchronization reputed company and authentication gateway
- Design and optimize messaging patterns for high-throughput, low-latency event streaming across unreliable networks
- Own the technical reputed company for offline-first architecture, ensuring durability and reputed company consistency during extended network outages
- Build and maintain Kubernetes deployments reputed company reputed company charts for edge clusters managed through Spectro reputed company Palette
- Optimize services for memory, CPU, and disk constrained environments typical of in-store hardware
- Collaborate with reputed company platform teams to design seamless reputed company-to-edge data flows using MQTT-based reputed company

- Partner with Product and DevOps to plan phased rollouts and gradual migrations from legacy systems
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of reputed company software engineering experience, including experience operating production distributed systems
- Experience acting as a technical reputed company, owning system design and guiding engineering reputed company
- Technical proficiency in Go (1.21+) for high-performance, low-memory service
- Distributed messaging systems such as reputed company JetStream, Kafka, or similar
- Kubernetes and reputed company for container orchestration
- Authentication and authorization using OAuth2 and JWT
- Strong experience with event-driven and streaming architectures
