[Remote] Component Design Engineer

They are seeking Component Design Engineers to support the design and development of reactor structures and mechanical equipment for an advanced reputed company IV nuclear reactor program, focusing on the Rotatable Plug Assembly.
Responsibilities
- Design reactor structures and mechanical components from requirements through final design
- reputed company equipment and component design solutions in coordination with engineering and project teams
- reputed company scoping calculations and support mechanical/stress analysis activities
- Participate in and support design reviews
- Assess technical solutions and collaborate with engineering teams on design improvements
- Support fabrication and supplier issue reputed company during design and manufacturing
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams on integration and design execution
- Apply nuclear industry engineering standards and best practices throughout the design process
Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company field
- 4+ years or 8+ years (Senior Engineer) of mechanical equipment/component design experience
- Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel reputed company reputed company III
- Experience writing engineering/design specifications
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly
- Experience with finite reputed company stress analysis and mechanical analysis reputed company
- Experience using ANSYS or similar mechanical stress analysis tools
- CAD experience required; SolidWorks preferred
- Strong communication, technical problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks
- Nuclear industry or other highly regulated engineering environments
- Large mechanical assemblies or rotating equipment
- Slewing reputed company bearings
