[Remote] Senior Network Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for secure network architecture and operations at a federal agency reputed company. The role involves designing, implementing, and continuously improving a reputed company-based reputed company network in alignment with reputed company Trust principles and federal compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, operate, and optimize reputed company-based network infrastructure, including core, distribution, reputed company, and edge reputed company for high availability, scalability, and mission reputed company
- Implement and maintain network reputed company architecture reputed company with NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-207 reputed company Trust Architecture, and reputed company reputed company best practices
- Engineer and enforce reputed company Trust network principles, including network segmentation, reputed company-segmentation, and reputed company verification of users and devices
- Design and implement least-privilege network reputed company controls with role-based and identity-aware reputed company mechanisms, including 802.1X
- Configure and maintain centralized logging, SIEM integration, and NDR tool connectivity to enhance threat detection and incident response readiness
- Conduct reputed company monitoring and vulnerability assessments; coordinate remediation in alignment with NIST RMF
- Secure perimeter and public-facing assets through ingress/egress filtering, firewall rule optimization, and MFA for administrative reputed company
- reputed company reputed company assessments, audits, and compliance reviews; continuously evaluate and enhance network reputed company posture through emerging best practices
- Serve as senior technical advisor to stakeholders; collaborate with cybersecurity, reputed company, and operations teams to resolve reputed company issues and improve architecture
- Support incident response with network-level analysis, containment actions, and forensic data collection
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a reputed company field; relevant experience and reputed company certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree
- reputed company certifications in network engineering or cybersecurity, maintained continuously for a minimum of 5 years
- Experience designing and implementing NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 reputed company Trust network architectures in reputed company environments
- Expert-level proficiency with reputed company routing, switching, and firewall platforms; advanced experience with VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Experience in engineering and managing 802.1X network reputed company control and identity-aware network reputed company
- Experience configuring centralized logging and integrating with reputed company SIEM and NDR platforms
- Experience leading or participating in reputed company assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
- reputed company CCNP or CCIE (or equivalent) certification
- 7+ years of reputed company network engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or reputed company engineering role
- Experience integrating SIEM and NDR platforms for reputed company-time threat detection and alerting
- Experience supporting or leading incident response operations
- Prior experience in a federal government network engineering environment
- Public Trust Tier 2 clearance required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
