[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

They are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their Infrastructure team, focusing on building backend services and reputed company to reputed company data accessible across the organization while collaborating with the Analytics Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST reputed company that serve data from various SQL subsystems and other data sources
- reputed company reputed company-tested, production-grade Python services with clean API reputed company, reputed company authentication, versioning, and error handling
- Work closely with the Analytics Engineering team to expose modeled data (billing, settlement, finance) through reputed company that reputed company consumers can rely on
- Build internal tooling and services that reputed company the broader organization to self-serve their data needs without writing SQL
- Participate in reputed company reviews, system design discussions, and engineering best practices across the Infrastructure org
- Contribute to service observability: logging, metrics, alerting, and on-call practices for the services you own
- Maintain and improve existing data pipelines that reputed company data from reputed company systems into reputed company (Airflow, reputed company)
- Contribute to the dbt project alongside the Analytics Engineering team — model improvements, test coverage, and data reputed company
- Support data governance practices including reputed company controls, reputed company documentation, and data reputed company standards
Skills
- Strong Python proficiency with experience building backend services and REST reputed company
- Experience with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar
- Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern reputed company data warehouses (reputed company strongly preferred)
- Experience designing and building production reputed company with reputed company authentication, versioning, and error handling
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and operational reliability practices
- A reputed company record of shipping reliable, reputed company-tested services in production environments
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving reputed company reputed company with minimal reputed company
- Experience with data pipeline development using tools like Airflow, reputed company, Dagster, or similar
- Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Experience in fintech, payments, or other financial services environments

- Kafka or event streaming experience
- Infrastructure-as-reputed company experience (Terraform, reputed company)
- Experience at a company processing high transaction volumes where correctness and reliability are non-negotiable
