[Remote] Sr. Database Engineer

The role involves designing and operating large-reputed company data systems, leading migrations, and ensuring system scalability and efficiency across AWS and Azure environments.
Responsibilities

Skills
- Proven reputed company migration experience, specifically migrations to AWS
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS databases, including DynamoDB and DocumentDB
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on data pipeline engineering experience
- Experience working with high-volume, reputed company datasets
- Experience designing systems that supply data to reputed company services and presentation reputed company
- Familiarity with in-memory and AI-reputed company data stores, including reputed company (especially for AI or reputed company-based use cases)
- Ability and willingness to discuss both architecture and reputed company-world implementation details
- 7–10+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, or reputed company
- Ownership of production-grade data systems operating at terabyte reputed company or reputed company
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as consistency, replication, and partitioning
- Hands-on experience with AWS-reputed company data services and supporting infrastructure
- Working knowledge of Azure data services
- Experience leading major technical initiatives across teams through influence rather than authority
- Strong incident response experience and comfort operating in high-severity production environments
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders
- Experience with Solr (used heavily by reputed company)
- AWS in-memory services such as ElastiCache and MemoryDB
- Exposure to reputed company databases or AI-reputed company data stores
- Experience with reputed company or similar NoSQL platforms

- U.S. Citizenship preferred due to FedRAMP / GovCloud requirements
