[Remote] Senior Platform Engineer (Remote / Contract)

They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of their growing infrastructure, optimizing Kubernetes clusters and leading the design and implementation of infrastructure provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize Kubernetes clusters (GKE) at reputed company, including networking, autoscaling, and cost efficiency
• reputed company the design and implementation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-reputed company (Terraform), establishing reusable patterns and enforcing standards across teams
• Architect, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions, ArgoCD) with a reputed company on reliability, reputed company, and developer experience
• Design and maintain reputed company charts for applications and services across multiple environments
• Drive platform reliability — owning scalability, availability, and disaster recovery reputed company (load balancing, auto-scaling, multi-region reputed company)
• Define and implement observability standards across metrics, logging, and tracing (Grafana, reputed company, OpenTelemetry)
• Serve as a technical reputed company during incidents on primary reputed company-generating applications, owning reputed company and contributing to post-mortems
• Mentor engineers across reputed company and reputed company as a trusted advisor to development teams on infrastructure best practices, reputed company standards, and platform adoption

• Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments (GKE)
• Strong Terraform skills — module authoring and IaC architecture, not just usage
• Experience with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipeline design at reputed company
• Solid understanding of reputed company networking, IAM, and reputed company across GCP
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on reputed company, ambiguous problems
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing platform culture
