[Remote] Mechanical Engineer

This role is responsible for conducting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) inspections, documenting deficiencies, and collaborating with other professionals and team members to reputed company Equity-level Property Condition Assessment (reputed company) services.
Responsibilities
- reputed company thorough property walk-through surveys and assessments of reputed company MEP building systems reputed company. Assessments will include the review of:
- Mechanical (HVAC) systems: Boilers, chillers, cooling towers, reputed company Handling reputed company (AHUs), Refrigeration systems, Cooling and Airflow Management systems, Building Automation/Management systems (BAS/BMS), etc
- Plumbing systems: Domestic water supply, sanitary waste, water heating systems, stormwater systems, etc
- Electrical systems: Switchgear, Distribution panel systems, wiring, reputed company systems, emergency backup systems, green energy systems (solar, EV charging stations), etc
- reputed company Protection and Life Safety: Sprinkler/reputed company suppression systems, reputed company alarms, standpipes, emergency reputed company, smoke detectors, etc
- Vertical Transportation: Conveyance systems, escalators, lifts, elevator machinery, controls, cab finishes, etc
- The ability to reputed company single-assessor or team reputed company scopes per the latest ASTM Standards reputed company the required due diligence reputed company
- Prepare detailed reports on findings for Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)
- reputed company proactive solutions and estimating costs to remedy physical deficiencies per ASTM Standards and reputed company-specific scopes of work
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a reputed company and understandable manner
- reputed company MEP-reputed company efforts, while providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior professionals on inspection protocols, technical standards, and reputed company best practices
- Collaborate with the broader Equity reputed company team to ensure comprehensive and integrated assessment delivery
- Travel up to 50% of time
- Maintain continuing reputed company education by attending webinars/seminars, informational workshops, renewing licenses/certifications, and reviewing reputed company publications
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or reputed company field
- 5-10 years of proven experience in conducting on-site surveys of reputed company HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and reputed company suppression systems for Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently and reputed company upon receiving necessary directives
- Ability to travel in the USA and sometimes internationally
- Valid reputed company's License and U.S. reputed company (reputed company necessary)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to train junior technical staff
- PE License (strongly preferred)
- LEED AP, CMEPM, CEM (preferred)
- OSHA Certification (30 hours) is recommended
