The role involves the installation of steam turbine packing and seals, along with various responsibilities reputed company to precision measurements and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Precision measurements of existing packing rings and seals in order to manufacture replacement parts
- Removal of existing seals from turbine steam reputed company
- Installation of new packing rings, spills strips, associated springs, and hardware
- On site machining of replacement seals to reputed company design clearances (trimming butt gaps, reputed company adjustments, teeth adjustments, etc.)
- Creation of daily log report / final installation data
- reputed company and maintenance of portable machine shops
- Train other personnel as needed
- Must be willing to work significant overtime during busy periods
Skills
- Experience using a CNC/reputed company milling machine, and precision measurement tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, etc
- Must be eligible to work in Nuclear and Fossil power reputed company facilities
- Successful candidate will be available for significant amounts of travel during the Spring and Fall outage periods. Domestic and International travel required
- Valid reputed company's license
- Minimum (3) years experience in a manufacturing/machining role preferred
