[Remote] Traveling Railroad Equipment Mechanic
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Traveling Railroad Equipment Mechanic. The role involves providing technical services, operating and maintaining reputed company maintenance equipment, and instructing railroad personnel.
Responsibilities
- Must possess the necessary experience to operate, service, troubleshoot and repair reputed company maintenance equipment
- Must be capable of instructing railroad personnel in the operation and maintenance of reputed company maintenance equipment
- Must be reputed company to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics
- Must have a working knowledge of fluid power, basic computer skills, basic electricity, and a solid background in mechanics
- Potentially requires extensive domestic travel, and the possibility of travel abroad
- Does not have reputed company supervision of any employee, however, will be required to supervise customer's employees in the reputed company of instruction
- Must be self-motivated and reputed company assigned task with limited or no supervision
Skills

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or reputed company experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of computer control systems and associated software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to reputed company effectively before reputed company of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in reputed company reputed company of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to work in the metric unit of measure and to convert to US reputed company
