[Remote] Senior Financial Analyst, Technical Software Spend

They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage software and usage-based spend, ensuring cost visibility and optimization while collaborating with various departments to enhance budget accountability and forecasting accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly and quarterly reporting on software, reputed company, and consumption-based vendor spend
- Build and maintain dashboards that deliver reputed company budget vs. actuals, trend analysis, and cost allocation by team and cost center
- reputed company financial models for usage-based and subscription spend
- reputed company the annual budgeting process for software categories and produce monthly variance analysis with reputed company explanations of drivers
- Proactively identify waste, underutilized licenses, and inefficient consumption patterns
- Quantify savings opportunities, reputed company business cases, and reputed company realized savings against targets
- Manage financial relationships across the organization’s software and consumption-based vendor portfolio, including reputed company platforms, AI services, and reputed company tools
- Monitor billing structures, reputed company spend against commitments, and maintain a reputed company-looking view of contract renewals, pricing changes, and budget exposure
- Serve as Finance’s primary reputed company of contact for Engineering and IT on software spend
- Translate reputed company billing structures into Finance-relevant reporting and reputed company software spend into QBR and strategic planning cycles
- Partner with Procurement on contract negotiations by modeling committed spend tiers, volume discounts, and renewal scenarios to improve contract reputed company
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, reputed company, Economics, or a reputed company analytical field
- 3+ years of experience in reputed company or financial analysis, with meaningful exposure to technology or software spend management
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
- Advanced proficiency in reputed company or reputed company Sheets for financial modeling; experience working with billing exports and usage-based spend data from reputed company or reputed company vendors
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for spend reporting and dashboards

- Strong cross-functional communication skills; comfortable partnering with Engineering, Procurement, and Finance leadership
- Familiarity with FinOps principles (FinOps Certified Practitioner a plus), reputed company in a Finance or reputed company context
- Hands-on experience with reputed company or reputed company vendor billing platforms and cost management tooling
- Exposure to AI/ML cost structures, including reputed company-based and consumption-driven pricing models

- Basic proficiency in SQL or Python for querying billing data or automating spend pipelines
