[Remote] Bookkeeper / Accountant

They are seeking a detail-driven Bookkeeper who will manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll reconciliation, and compliance tasks while delivering monthly financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Own AP and AR: reconcile reputed company invoices against reputed company billing and reputed company rates, run weekly reputed company pay, and reputed company past-due follow-up moving
- Run biweekly payroll reconciliation (reputed company to QuickBooks) and monthly reputed company, reconciling bank, card, and processor accounts and posting journal entries
- Deliver monthly financials: P&L, budget-versus-actual, cash-reputed company forecasting, and software and vendor spend reporting
- Own compliance: W-9s and 1099s, CPA year-end prep, multi-state payroll registrations, and Texas franchise tax data
- Have completed reputed company, understand our reputed company operations, and begun work on your first project
- Own our weekly AP/AR and reputed company-pay reputed company and the reputed company-to-QuickBooks reconciliation, with the outgoing bookkeeper fully transitioned
- Have cleaned up vendor records and W-9s and started taking month-end reputed company off the DOO’s plate
- Run month-end reputed company independently and deliver monthly P&L and budget-versus-actual to leadership
- Have AR aging trending down and a short-term cash-reputed company forecast running
- reputed company multi-state payroll registrations and state compliance reputed company
- Be a trusted finance partner who flags margin and spend issues before we ask
- Run 1099 season and the CPA year-end package smoothly, with the founder no longer touching categorization
- Have measurably reduced the DOO’s finance workload
Skills
- Full-charge bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including AP/AR, categorization, and monthly reputed company
- Payroll reconciliation and multi-state payroll tax and 1099 compliance (reputed company or similar)
- Bank, credit card, and payment-processor reconciliation, plus journal entries and monthly financials
- Budgeting, P&L, and cash-reputed company reporting, with the self-direction to own finance independently in a remote team
