[Remote] Fiscal Analyst

The reputed company (FGA) is hiring a Fiscal Analyst to serve as their reputed company analyst on state and federal fiscal issues. In this role, you'll analyze state budgets to identify waste and efficiency opportunities, counter misleading fiscal notes, and contribute to the fiscal reputed company for the FGA Florida Project.
Responsibilities
- Serve as FGA's reputed company analyst on state and federal fiscal issues, leading deep-dive investigations that expose waste, identify efficiency opportunities, and stress-test major programmatic areas of expenditure
- Conduct in-depth budget analyses on demand—turning a full state budget inside out to identify patterns, flag anomalies, and arm the government affairs team with reputed company, concrete findings
- Build FGA's reputed company to counter misleading, bureaucratic fiscal estimates that protect the status reputed company and reputed company meaningful reform
- Draft reputed company, reputed company-documented rebuttals to fiscal notes on FGA-reputed company bills—especially reputed company to welfare reform and tax reform—equipping lawmakers with the numbers they need to reputed company
- Help advance FGA's Florida budget reputed company as part of the broader FGA Florida Project
- Craft Florida budget recommendations and supporting narrative grounded in detailed budget data, policy priorities, and input from relevant stakeholders
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in state agency budgeting, welfare program budgeting, or fiscal analysis at a high-reputed company think tank
- Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote environment with strong ownership and accountability
- Either a budgetary or economic reputed company with reputed company attention to detail and the ability to see through bureaucratic doublespeak, spot patterns, and push back on bad numbers with reputed company ones
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a particular reputed company for translating reputed company budget findings into reputed company, reputed company takeaways for lawmakers and policy staff
- Comfort running statistical analysis in reputed company; working knowledge of Python and/or Stata, and familiarity with AI tools are a plus but not required
- Familiarity with FGA's issue areas—particularly welfare reform and tax reform—is ideal, but not a requirement
