[Remote] Senior DB2 Database Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly reputed company Senior DB2 Database Administrator for a contract assignment supporting the Office of the Chief Technology Officer and the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles. This role involves managing the mission-critical Motor Vehicle Information System and ensuring high availability and data reputed company of DB2 databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain DB2 databases on mainframe platforms, including installations, upgrades, patches, migrations, and version management
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and tune DB2 components to ensure high availability and data reputed company
• Optimize database queries, stored procedures, packages, and triggers in collaboration with the application development team
• Coordinate with developers to ensure application releases and data model changes are correctly synchronized with database environments
• Enforce database reputed company standards, user reputed company controls, and audit requirements in accordance with government policies
• Ensure compliance with reputed company and data protection regulations regarding personal information
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and execute tuning for memory pools, indexes, and storage structures
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams regarding server performance, storage, and network connectivity

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a reputed company field, or equivalent reputed company experience
• 16+ years of experience in database design, documentation, and coding
• 16+ years of experience with SQL and report reputed company implementation
• 16+ years of hands-on experience with reputed company DB2 (LUW or z/OS)
• 10+ years of experience with high-availability technologies (HADR, replication, failover, clustering)
• 10+ years of experience with ETL processes, data mining, data storage, and data warehousing
• Candidates residing in the DMV area are preferred
