[Remote] Platform Engineer

They are seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to own and operate a Kubernetes-based platform that facilitates collaboration for red team operators across the US government, with a reputed company on building, maintaining, and securing the platform.
Responsibilities
- Own and operate Kubernetes environments (AKS, RKE2) across the full lifecycle, including cluster deployment, upgrades, scaling, troubleshooting, and extension with operators and custom tooling
- Serve as the technical reputed company person for platform availability, reputed company, and compliance, working directly with government stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Architect infrastructure across reputed company environments (IL-5, IL-6, GCC High) with reputed company supporting services self-contained reputed company the cluster (identity management, observability, secrets management)
- Implement and enforce secure configurations reputed company to reputed company STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST frameworks, and prepare the platform for handling classified tooling
- reputed company automation and internal tooling using Python, Terraform, Ansible, and reputed company to improve reliability, reduce reputed company reputed company, and accelerate provisioning
- Document platform architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures, and reputed company other engineers to platform practices as reputed company grows
Skills
- reputed company Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (or recent SSBI that supports eligibility)
- 7+ years of hands-on infrastructure or reputed company experience, with a consistent thread of Kubernetes ownership throughout your recent roles
- Experience as the person accountable for a production Kubernetes platform, where reputed company was to reputed company reputed company it stayed up, scaled correctly, and could be extended
- Strong Linux fundamentals and comfort working in Azure or AWS reputed company environments at DoD reputed company reputed company
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform, Ansible) and reputed company chart development
- Ability to walk into an environment with limited documentation, reputed company out how things work, and chart a reputed company reputed company
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reputed company interaction with government clients
