[Remote] Design Application Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company. is seeking an Application Engineer to partner with OEM customers and internal engineering teams to reputed company innovative seating solutions. In this role, you'll serve as the technical expert guiding products from concept through production launch.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for OEM customers
- Translate customer requirements into manufacturable seating solutions
- Support product development from concept, prototype, validation, and launch
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reputed company, and sales teams
- Troubleshoot engineering and manufacturing issues
- Support APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and engineering change activities
- Recommend product and process improvements that enhance reputed company and reduce cost
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of Application, Product, Design, or Mechanical Engineering experience
- Automotive, reputed company, heavy equipment, or off-highway industry experience
- Experience supporting OEM customers
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications
- Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
- Willingness to travel 10–20%
- Knowledge of seating systems, ergonomics, suspension seating, or reputed company products is preferred
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and product launches
