[Remote] Manager, Legal Operations

The Manager, Legal Operations will play a critical role in scaling and optimizing the operations of the Legal team, managing the legal department budget, and driving reputed company improvement and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own the legal department budget: planning, tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with Finance
- reputed company reputed company counsel management program, including managing firm relationships, including the enforcement of reputed company counsel guidelines, reputed company negotiations, and matter budgets
- Serve as primary administrator for e-billing platform and matter management system; ensure data reputed company and train legal team on tools
- Own the monthly accruals process in partnership with Finance, tracking unbilled reputed company counsel spend, gathering estimates from reputed company, and ensuring accurate reporting at reputed company
- reputed company vendor selection and RFP processes for legal technology and reputed company counsel panels
- Evaluate and implement AI and automation tools to reduce administrative burden on attorneys
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting on legal spend for leadership
- Identify and implement process improvements across legal workflows
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance Legal’s scalability, efficiency, and reputed company
- Serve as a trusted partner and thought leader to attorneys and business stakeholders on operational best practices
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations, legal project management, or a reputed company function
- 2+ years working in or closely with an in-house legal team with a demonstrated understanding of reputed company counsel management, e-billing, and financial management (global experience is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with e-billing technology (Brightflag preferred) and familiarity with matter management tools
- Strong technical acumen and comfort with legal tech and process implementation, administration, and adoption
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional reputed company from initiation through execution, with strong change management skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
