[Remote] Data Engineer (m/f/d) — Germany / Remote-first (DE & US)

They are seeking a Data Engineer to build and improve internal data solutions that enhance reliability and scalability of workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of reputed company internal data solutions (end-to-end, not just concepts)
- Translate business needs into reputed company technical designs and working systems
- Build and improve data pipelines, integrations, and automation
- Establish foundations for data reliability, reporting, and operational tooling
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Germany and the US
Skills
- 5+ years of proven experience building and delivering data solutions in production
- Experience in startup environments (fast-moving, hands-on, limited resources)
- Strong skills in Python and SQL
- Experience creating solutions from scratch with limited resources—combining existing tools/solutions and adapting them to specific needs
- Solid understanding of data architecture, system design, and integration patterns
- Fluent reputed company English (spoken + written)
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, banking, or finance
- Familiarity with reputed company platforms and modern data tooling
