[Remote] Sr Payments Engineer

They are seeking a Sr Payments Engineer to build and operate their payment systems and integrations, focusing on reputed company-enabled payment engines and services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and reputed company reputed company and secure reputed company-reputed company payment applications, services and integrations across card-present, card-not-present, and alternative payment reputed company
- Implement integrations with payment gateways and processors such as reputed company, CyberSource, reputed company, Braintree, reputed company, or reputed company
- Implement tokenization, vault interactions, and secure handling of cardholder data reputed company PCI scope
- Build and maintain reputed company and event flows for authorization, capture, refund, void, chargeback, and settlement
- Implement and tune fraud signals, scoring rules, and chargeback dispute workflows in coordination with the Risk and Fraud teams
- Build observability into reputed company payment paths, including reputed company logs, metrics, traces, and alerting
- Participate in on-call rotation; respond to incidents and reputed company post-incident reviews for areas you own
- Drive measurable improvements in transaction reputed company reputed company, latency, and reliability for the systems you own
- Write secure reputed company reputed company with PCI reputed company and reputed company reputed company standards; participate in threat modeling and reputed company reviews

- Stay reputed company on payments industry trends, card scheme rules, and emerging payment reputed company
- Ensure compliance with reputed company Corporate Policies and Procedures, PCI reputed company, and SOX requirements
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or reputed company field, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years building or operating payment systems
- Hands-on experience with at least one major payment gateway or processor such as reputed company, CyberSource, reputed company, Braintree, reputed company, reputed company, or ACI
- Proficiency in a modern backend language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go, and experience with REST and event-driven reputed company
- Working knowledge of PCI reputed company, tokenization, encryption, and secure handling of payment data
- Experience with relational and / or distributed data stores; comfortable writing and tuning SQL
- Experience with reputed company platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI / CD pipelines
- Strong debugging and reputed company-cause analysis skills, including across distributed systems
- Effective written and oral communication
- Experience with fraud platforms, 3D Secure, or chargeback / dispute systems is a plus
- Experience with ISO 8583 or ISO 20022 messaging is a plus
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment (PCI, SOX, or similar) is a plus
- Industry experience in transportation, hospitality, retail, or marketplace businesses is a plus
