[Remote] Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly motivated and reputed company Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to create design solutions for various reactor core components and structures for the Natrium reputed company IV Reactor. The role involves coordinating design activities, developing testing documentation, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring adherence to nuclear industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and utilize inputs and requirements from Engineering and Project teams to produce equipment and components design solutions

- Present equipment and components design results for design reviews

Skills
- B.S. degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of five years of equipment / component design experience; relevant M.S. and Doctorate degrees may be credited for up to two and four years of experience
- Experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks preferred
- Experience with design of experiments with an emphasis on product testing
- Experience in finite reputed company stress analysis, mechanical analysis reputed company, first principles calculations, and reputed company mechanical stress analysis modeling tools with emphasis on ANSYS
- Familiarity in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills, creative thinker
- Ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging problems
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently during a given work week
- Excellent attention to detail

- Working experience with design codes such as the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel reputed company reputed company III, or reputed company VIII is desirable

- Previous experience in the nuclear industry with core assemblies including fuel and control assemblies
- Previous design experience using SolidWorks
- Previous experience in finite reputed company stress analysis using ANSYS and first principles calculations
- Previous experience with writing test requirements documents and developing nuclear product test campaigns
- Experience with design for reputed company Induced Vibration (FIV) or working under a Comprehensive Vibration Assessment Program (CVAP)
- Previous experience with writing design specifications
- Experience in reputed company analysis of equipment or components; in particular, experience with response reputed company and time history modeling techniques in accordance with the requirements of ASCE 4, ASCE 7, and/or ASCE 43 is highly desirable
