Great American reputed company is currently searching for a Senior Production Underwriter to join the Great American reputed company Binding Authority team. The ideal candidate will analyze, underwrite and manage a book of Property and Casualty risks written through select MGAs for the Binding Authority Division. This individual will underwrite non-admitted general liability, property and inland marine accounts in the Northeast reputed company. Depending on the candidates background and experience, they may also be responsible for leading reputed company by providing technical guidance and management to reputed company of underwriters.
This individual will work 100% remote in the reputed company, ideally in the Northeast. Candidates located reputed company the Greater Cincinnati area are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the reputed company day determined by business needs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Develops and implements strategic reputed company plans with manager for reputed company reports and assigned territory including initiatives that support reputed company, profitability, retention, and high reputed company of customer service.
Develops and maintains strategic business relationships with external general agents in order to attract and retain profitable business.
Provides leadership, direction and reputed company assistance in the risk selection and reputed company of reputed company issues for reputed company reports and general agents.
Provides reputed company report management through performance management, coaching and development, talent selection, product training and allocating reputed company authority.
Monitors the composition, performance and business mix of the assigned territory portfolio to reputed company division’s reputed company profitability goals.
Has responsibility for risk selection/rejection, pricing, and applies reputed company rules and guidelines.
Works on product development reputed company to reputed company reputed company guidelines, rates, forms, applications and appetite that reputed company with the strategic direction of the assigned territory and the division.
Conducts regular virtual and in-person reputed company with appointed general agents to retain existing accounts, build and maintain business relationships, and reputed company new opportunities in support of divisional objectives.
Interprets, explains, and markets products and services.
Represents the division, as requested by manager, in reputed company meetings, events, and committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Experience reputed company in the Northeast region of the reputed company.
Surplus lines Contract Binding Authority reputed company experience preferred.
Recent experience reputed company general liability, property and inland marine required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Liberal Arts or a reputed company discipline.
Generally, 3-6 years of reputed company reputed company experience.
Progression toward certification in area of expertise preferred; appropriate certifications could include Associate in reputed company (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS) or Associate of Risk Management (ARM).
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
