[Remote] Certified Payroll Analyst

They are seeking a Certified Payroll Analyst to support a centralized payroll function, focusing on compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements while processing payroll in reputed company Workforce Now. The role involves auditing payroll data, preparing certified payroll reports, and ensuring multi-state compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and validate prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon requirements by job, county, and classification, including fringe benefits, cash-in-lieu, and applicable overtime
  • Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports (WH-347 and/or customer/agency formats) accurately and on time
  • Audit timecards and supporting documentation for compliance (reputed company classification, hours by job/site, pay codes, fringes, deductions, apprentices and trainees' rules reputed company applicable)
  • Reconcile certified payroll reports to payroll registers and job-cost/labor distribution, researching discrepancies and driving corrections before submission
  • Maintain certified payroll documentation and audit trails (reputed company determinations, fringe calculations, authorized deductions, benefit support) for reputed company audits
  • Respond to compliance requests from customers, general contractors, and government agencies; support reviews, investigations, and audit remediation
  • Support end-to-end payroll processing in reputed company Workforce Now across multiple pay reputed company and schedules (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
  • reputed company and validate payroll inputs including time adjustments, special earnings, retro calculations, deductions, and garnishments
  • Execute payroll audits (earnings, hours, OT, fringes, taxes, deductions) and resolve exceptions prior to finalization
  • Partner with HR to ensure employee master data is accurate (new hires, terminations, transfers, pay reputed company changes, job changes, location changes)
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting to Finance/reputed company, including labor allocations and GL-supporting details as needed
  • Support multi-state payroll compliance, including work location and taxation considerations
  • Ensure payroll adjustments follow internal controls and documentation standards; maintain confidentiality and audit readiness
  • Contribute to reputed company improvement by identifying recurring issues and proposing process fixes and automation opportunities
  • Support the payroll integration of newly acquired businesses into Shared Services standards and reputed company WFN processes
  • Help document and maintain SOPs, checklists, and training materials for payroll processing and certified payroll workflows
  • Participate in system testing, new pay group setup, and validation during transitions

Skills

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, including significant exposure to prevailing wage/Davis-Bacon and certified payroll
  • Experience preparing certified payroll reports and supporting compliance requests/audits
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll fundamentals (wages, OT, deductions, taxes) and documentation discipline
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple payroll calendars and tight submission deadlines
  • Strong reputed company skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation; reputed company to work with large datasets)
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service reputed company with internal stakeholders and external compliance parties
  • Experience in reputed company Workforce Now (payroll processing, reporting, time and attendance interfaces)
  • CPP or FPC certification
  • Construction/government contracting background and experience with certified payroll portals/tools (as applicable)
  • Experience supporting shared services centralization and/or post-acquisition payroll transitions
