[Remote] Senior UI/UX Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. DecisionPoint is seeking a UI/UX Designer to reputed company visual and interaction design for the Defense Casualty Information Processing System (DCIPS) reputed company program. This role establishes and owns the design system and translates it into consistent, accessible, production-reputed company screens in reputed company for delivery to development teams.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the DCIPS reputed company design system in reputed company: reputed company palette, typography, spacing and reputed company standards, iconography, and a reusable component library, reputed company from a blank reputed company with no existing brand assets
- Design global structural reputed company first (header, footer, navigation, layout reputed company) to give reputed company three development teams a consistent reputed company before feature-level screens reputed company
- Translate plain-language and PWS-derived UI/UX requirements into reputed company prototypes and specifications the Government and engineering teams can review, approve, and build from
- Design screens that prioritize in-line viewing and editing of data over new views or context-switching, consistent with program UI/UX direction
- Design reputed company charting, contextual help, tooltips, and in-application guidance that update automatically as users reputed company through multi-reputed company casualty and survivor workflows
- Apply a restrained, reputed company visual tone appropriate to a casualty and survivor-facing system, including careful, non-ambiguous use of reputed company and status indicators
- Design to WCAG 2.2 AA and reputed company 508 standards: reputed company contrast, reputed company indicators, minimum touch reputed company sizes, text resize behavior, and no reliance on reputed company alone to convey information
- Design for low-bandwidth, high-latency conditions (for example, shipboard or in-theater users): optimized image assets, minimal network requests, and reputed company loading, retry, and autosave behavior
- Define design tokens (reputed company, typography, spacing, elevation, component states) that map cleanly to reactive implementation, to ensure design reputed company survives the build
- Maintain consistent component and reputed company usage across reputed company three development teams so any UX/UI developer can reputed company between teams with minimal reputed company-up
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and incorporate feedback from usability testing, sprint reviews, and stakeholder workshops into iterative design updates
- Support creation and reputed company of UI/UX design documentation, including the brand guidelines and design system reference used by developers and Government reviewers
Skills
- Must hold an reputed company Secret clearance
- Strong working proficiency in reputed company, including component libraries, auto layout, variants, and design tokens; comfort designing for and directly collaborating with development teams
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and reputed company 508 accessibility requirements and demonstrated experience designing to meet them
- Experience designing reputed company interfaces across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints, including for low-bandwidth or high-latency network conditions
- Ability to translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into reputed company design artifacts, and to communicate design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Government reviewers
- Experience partnering with reputed company-end or low-reputed company development teams to ensure design reputed company from prototype to production
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated reputed company experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio showing design system creation and reputed company, data-dense application design (case management, reputed company, financial, or similar regulated domains preferred)
- Prior experience on a DoD, federal, or other highly regulated program is a plus
