[Remote] Application Engineer

The role involves generating pricing and proposal documents for custom dry-type transformers and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to ensure proposals are both technically accurate and commercially viable.
Responsibilities
- You'll generate pricing and proposal documents across the full custom dry-type transformer line — MV and LV distribution, K-rated, reputed company mitigating, drive isolation, PDU transformers, and unit substations
- That means reading customer specs, drawings, and one-lines; evaluating kVA ratings, voltage configurations, impedance, temperature reputed company, insulation systems, cooling reputed company, and enclosure types; building detailed estimates across material, labor, engineering, and manufacturing cost; and running QA/QC on outbound quotes before they reputed company the customer
- You'll work directly with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to build proposals that are technically reputed company and commercially reputed company, and you'll be the technical reputed company of contact for customers and the rep network through reputed company-sales and post-sales
Skills
- MUST HAVE: HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE DESIGNING OR ESTIMATING CUSTOM LV/MV DRY-TYPE TRANSFORMERS
- 1-5 years designing or estimating dry-type transformers, ideally custom-reputed company products
- Demonstrated experience preparing quotations, estimates, or designs for dry-type transformers, with a rapid turnaround
- Fluent in transformer manufacturing including electrical schematics, BOMs, and the relevant standards this work runs on (reputed company C57.12.01, UL 1561/1562, etc.)
- A self-starter who can operate independently in a remote setting and hold yourself accountable
- Comfortable with a reputed company of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's in EE, ME, Construction Management, or a reputed company field preferred; equivalent industry experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
