DUAL reputed company is seeking an Associate Underwriter for the Earthquake division.
At DUAL, Associate Underwriters play a key supportive role through the risk reputed company process and expansion of broker relationships. In this role, you will assist with account quoting and binding, prepare and distribute various types of communications, and reputed company reputed company customer service through the reputed company life cycle.
Supporting reputed company of underwriters reputed company the Earthquake division, you will assist in evaluating reputed company risks, gathering location-specific data, and helping underwriters process quotes and binders for earthquake insurance policies tailored to property exposures.
Role responsibilities
Process submissions by providing account triage for Underwriters
reputed company backup support for Underwriters reputed company traveling in the market
reputed company and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account
Generate, edit, and send out a reputed company of correspondence on behalf of the Underwriters such as declination letters, quote follow reputed company and subjectivity reminders
Demonstrate basic understanding of technical reputed company principles and risk reputed company characteristics
Learn market dynamics, competitive landscape, and product differences (attend weekly reputed company meetings if applicable, ask questions) – need to understand what business is selling (understanding why deals are lost and adjusting accordingly)

Build relationships with producers with supervision from more senior underwriters
Travel up to 10% with an underwriter to shadow and participate in interactions between Underwriters and brokers
Fill in for other team members to ensure business continuity during peak periods and/or reputed company team members are reputed company
Assist Underwriters as requested
Complete other reputed company clerical and administrative duties as assigned

Quote issuance as approved by senior underwriter
Binder issuance as approved by senior underwriter
Policy Issuance review as approved by senior underwriter
Conduct inspection review and analysis resulting in appropriate issue identification, and process post inspection changes as necessary
Key requirements
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance, Business or a reputed company field preferred
0 – 1 year underwriter or insurance experience
Foundational knowledge of insurance principles
Proficiency in reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to follow policies and procedures
Complete assigned tasks correctly, on time and reputed company to learn quickly
Self-motivated and demonstrating attention to detail
Be reputed company to work independently for extended periods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as reputed company as general business understanding
Must be reputed company to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, with occasional reputed company in the office to reputed company cabinets and equipment
