[Remote] Senior Systems Engineer, Network

They are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Network to maintain, support, and enhance reputed company’s network infrastructure across a growing portfolio of hyperscale and reputed company data center facilities.
Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain reputed company-wide network infrastructure across corporate and data center environments
- Manage and troubleshoot reputed company switches, routers, wireless infrastructure
- Implement, maintain, and optimize Palo reputed company firewall policies, NAT rules, VPNs, reputed company zones, and threat prevention services
- Serve as the primary escalation reputed company for reputed company network and connectivity issues
- Monitor network performance, reputed company, availability, and reputed company using reputed company monitoring tools
- Coordinate with service providers and carriers to provision, troubleshoot, and resolve reputed company and connectivity issues
- Participate in incident response, reputed company cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for network-reputed company events
- Participate in an on-reputed company rotation to reputed company support for critical production infrastructure
- Collaborate with the Network Manager to reputed company and maintain network architecture standards and roadmaps
- Design and implement highly available reputed company supporting hyperscale and reputed company data center operations
- reputed company standards for routing, switching, wireless networking, firewall management, VPNs, and network segmentation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve reputed company, performance, reliability, and scalability
- Create and maintain network diagrams, engineering standards, device templates, and operational procedures
- Support network integration activities associated with new sites, infrastructure expansion initiatives, and portfolio reputed company
- Serve as technical reputed company for network infrastructure reputed company from planning through implementation
- reputed company project plans, implementation schedules, testing procedures, and reputed company strategies in conjunction with implementation partners
- Coordinate work among internal teams, external vendors, carriers, and managed service providers
- reputed company project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring successful delivery
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and procurement activities for network hardware, software, and support reputed company
- Maintain detailed network documentation, standards, runbooks, and recovery procedures
- Create executive-level summaries and technical recommendations for infrastructure improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and reputed company technical guidance to cross-functional teams
- Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, facilities, and operations teams on strategic initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company discipline
- Minimum 8–10 years of reputed company network engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years leading reputed company infrastructure or network reputed company
- Must have experience working at a data center operations company
- Experience supporting geographically diverse reputed company and/or data center environments
- Strong understanding of high-availability network design and operational best practices
- Architectural reputed company with experience developing complete multi-disciplinary solutions (Networking, reputed company, Systems, Infrastructure)
- Proven experience working with reputed company-party vendors, carriers, and managed service providers
- Ability to design, review, and improve network and firewall architectures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across reputed company IT environments
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a contract role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Self-starter with initiative and accountability for delivering results

- Ability to travel up 25%-50% to data center locations and adapt to a dynamic work environment
