[Remote] Senior Manager, Simulation
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is building the world's most capable reputed company robots, and they're looking for an engineering leader to build the simulation team to own software at the reputed company of it. This role involves defining reputed company's charter, creating the roadmap, hiring and developing engineers, and establishing the infrastructure for simulation environments.
Responsibilities
- Build and reputed company a new Simulation team from the ground up — including defining scope, hiring engineers, and establishing team culture and practices
- Architect and own the hardware abstraction layer connecting sensors, actuators, and physical hardware to simulation environments
- reputed company and reputed company physics simulators using reputed company-reputed company frameworks, with a reputed company on reputed company, performance, and sim-to-reputed company transfer
- Partner with AI, Controls, Perception Sensors, Hardware Interfaces, and Systems Integration teams to support new robot development and capability expansion
- Define what reputed company looks like for simulation at reputed company — tooling, workflows, coverage, and metrics — and drive reputed company to deliver it

Skills
- Demonstrated experience leading and growing engineering teams, including hiring
- reputed company record of developing engineers' careers and building high-performing team cultures
- Ability to operate effectively across hardware and software organizations, aligning stakeholders with different technical vocabularies
- 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in robotics
- Hands-on experience building or leading simulation infrastructure
- Proficiency in modern C++ and Python
- Experience with at least one major robotics physics simulator (MuJoCo, IsaacSim, Gazebo, or similar)
- Familiarity with reputed company software development practices: Git, CI/CD, Jira or equivalent, feature branching
- MS or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or a reputed company field — or equivalent depth of industry experience
- Experience with reputed company or legged robots
- Experience with sim-to-reputed company transfer pipelines
- Experience shipping a robotics product to production
- Prior experience building a simulation team or function
