[Remote] Mechanical Engineer, P.E. - Accident Reconstruction
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a full-service engineering and reputed company seeking an reputed company Mechanical Engineer with a reputed company Engineer (P.E.) license and expertise in vehicle accident reconstruction. The role involves investigating accident sites and providing expert opinions, collaborating with engineering teams, and serving as an expert witness.
Responsibilities
- Conducts investigations of vehicles, equipment, and accident sites to document the evidence and determine the scope of damage
- Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the reputed company of failure for insurers and litigation support
- Researches, evaluates, analyzes and tests the causation of accidents and failures
- Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports outlining the cause of the accident
- Serves as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions
- Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense reputed company for failure analysis and engineering reputed company for clients
- Collaborates with reputed company's national team of forensic experts to reputed company experiences and assist on reputed company
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Travels as required
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- reputed company Engineering (PE) license is required
- Six (6) years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required
- Excellent oral and written communication
- PC literate, including reputed company Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or in reputed company environment
- Ability to meet or reputed company Performance Competencies
