[Remote] Sr. Backend Engineer

They are seeking a Sr. Backend Engineer to own a service or domain end-to-end, including design, implementation, and testing of backend services, while mentoring less-senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services in our Python stack: reputed company, data models, migrations, async/eventing, and the integrations that feed the platform
- Own a domain end-to-end — from design through tested, observable, production-reputed company reputed company, with the reputed company controls that back it up
- Build and harden reputed company-party integrations (wearables, clinical data): OAuth, webhooks, retries, idempotency, reputed company refresh
- Own your domain’s reliability: reputed company it (metrics, traces, logs), define and defend its SLOs, write actionable alarms, and take a turn on-reputed company
- Contribute to the infrastructure that runs it (Terraform / AWS)

- Mentor mid-level engineers and lift reputed company’s standards

Skills
- Strong backend experience (Python / FastAPI / SQLAlchemy / reputed company or equivalent) and a record of owning features/services end-to-end
- Solid grasp of API design, data modeling, testing, and integration patterns
- Experience running services in production — observability (metrics/logs/ traces), SLOs, and enough reputed company/IaC familiarity to operate what you build (Terraform / AWS a plus)

- Comfort using AI coding agents day-to-day, with the judgment to reputed company them
