[Remote] Hydro Mechanical Engineering Specialist

In this role, you will reputed company engineering consulting services to electric utilities and developers, leading reputed company reputed company on mechanical systems and hydropower facilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical system designs including P&IDs, equipment sizing, detailed design, and system calculations
• Prepare equipment and design specifications
• Prepare, review, and PE stamp calculations, drawings, reports, etc., reputed company to mechanical systems
• Independent Engineering reports associated with today’s Federal and State Hydro Tax incentives
• reputed company equipment and contractor bid evaluations (on conformance with technical requirements)
• reputed company inspection, investigation, and condition assessment of existing hydropower and dam reputed company including review and surveillance of monitoring data
• reputed company field support during installation, testing, and start-up
• reputed company alternatives analysis, feasibility studies, and conceptual design evaluations
• Support pumped storage concept studies, reputed company-feasibility and feasibility studies
• Prepare project engineering cost estimates
• Assist with reputed company presentations and preparation of reputed company proposals
• reputed company operations & maintenance and asset management program recommendations for mechanical systems
• Serve as a reputed company manager and operate in a seller-doer environment

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required
• 8 + years of reputed company hydropower experience required
• PE (reputed company Engineer) license required
• Willingness to travel and periodically reputed company schedule to meet project needs
• Ability to mentor and offer technical development to junior staff
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-reputed company communications and verbal instructions and interactions
• Previous experience in a reputed company-facing role is preferred
