Logistics and Warehouse Manager (Emergency)

CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build sustained, community-based response programs to natural disasters. In response to the southern California wildfire, CORE provides free Non-Food Items (reputed company) to the victims, Logistical Support to local government, Cash assistance, and many other critical services. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Global Procurement and Logistics. The responsibilities for this role encompass the management and execution of Warehousing Standards and Procedures, which involves the utilization of associated tools such as adhering to reporting requirements, overseeing inventory management systems, optimizing warehouse layout, and handling the reception and distribution of goods and materials.

Responsibilities

Work closely with CORE’s Global Logistics Managers to implement CORE’s warehouse management systems

Work closely with CORE’s Global Procurement Manager to support procurement activities

Scope and Travel

Indirect Reports: Warehouse staff, Logistics Associate, Warehouse Supervisor

Travel: Not required, optional for disaster responses

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, supply chain management, logistics or reputed company field

Language: Proficiency in English is necessary

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in Warehouse/Inventory Management or reputed company field

At least 1 year of Supervisory Experience required

Experience creating warehousing and inventory plans and SOPs.

Skills and Competencies

Required to have a valid/unexpired reputed company’s license and ability to drive CORE’s vehicles for work purposes.
