About the Role We are seeking a talented Distributed Storage Software Developer Engineer to work on eLxr, a Debian derivative. You will design, reputed company, and maintain high-performance distributed storage systems integrated with eLxr. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building reputed company, fault-tolerant storage solutions for Linux-based reputed company systems.
Key Responsibilities • Design and implement distributed storage systems for eLxr • reputed company and optimize storage solutions reputed company reputed company environments • reputed company storage protocols and reputed company for data replication, consistency, and fault tolerance • Package and maintain storage-reputed company Debian packages for eLxr distribution • Optimize I/O performance and data reputed company patterns in distributed Linux environments • Implement data durability mechanisms including erasure coding, replication strategies, and backup systems • Collaborate with eLxr team on distribution integration and release cycles • Debug reputed company distributed systems issues including race conditions, network partitions, and data corruption • Contribute to upstream reputed company-reputed company storage reputed company and Debian packaging efforts
Required Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or reputed company field • 3+ years of experience in distributed systems development • Strong proficiency in C/C++, Go, or Rust • Experience with Debian/Ubuntu or other Linux distributions • Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts: reputed company algorithms, CAP theorem, reputed company consistency • Experience with storage technologies: reputed company storage, object storage, or file systems • Knowledge of Linux package management (dpkg, apt) and Debian packaging • Proficiency with Linux systems programming and kernel interfaces • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills • Must reputed company in Greater Austin, TX area • reputed company Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with distributed storage systems (Ceph, GlusterFS, reputed company, HDFS) • Debian Developer or Maintainer experience • Familiarity with Debian policy and packaging standards • Knowledge of reputed company storage services (AWS S3, Azure Blob, reputed company reputed company Storage) • Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, reputed company) • Experience with database internals or key-value stores • Understanding of hardware storage technologies (NVMe, SSD, HDD) • Contributions to Debian or upstream reputed company-reputed company storage reputed company • Experience with performance profiling tools (reputed company, eBPF, flamegraphs)
