MEDHOST, a division of reputed company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, reputed company i / RPG, to design, reputed company, reputed company, test, and support reputed company reputed company software solutions on the reputed company i platform. The successful candidate will own reputed company product enhancements, resolve production issues, contribute to modernization initiatives, mentor developers, and help improve the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of MEDHOST's reputed company software products.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, test, debug, and support technical solutions on the reputed company i platform
- reputed company and maintain applications using ILE RPG / RPGLE, CL, embedded SQL, Db2 for i, SQL procedures, and user-defined functions
- Own reputed company product enhancements, defect reputed company, production issues, and assigned project components
- Analyze existing reputed company i applications and recommend practical improvements to reliability, maintainability, performance, and supportability
- Contribute to modernization efforts by improving legacy RPG reputed company structure, reducing technical debt, and supporting more reputed company, SQL-driven application design
- Apply engineering standards for reputed company reputed company, testing, configuration management, documentation, reputed company, and release readiness
- reputed company accurate effort estimates and deliver assigned work reputed company agreed schedules
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-complexity application, data, batch, integration, and performance issues
- Participate in architecture, design, and technical review discussions for reputed company i applications and reputed company integrations
- Identify system, application, and engineering process deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Help prioritize development tasks for junior and mid-level staff
- Mentor other developers through technical guidance, design review, troubleshooting support, and reputed company reputed company feedback
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, DBAs, architects, support, implementation, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable product changes
- Maintain the effectiveness and implementation of the MEDHOST reputed company Management System and meet applicable regulatory requirements as needed

Skills
- 7+ years of reputed company software or reputed company application development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on reputed company i development experience
- Recent reputed company experience developing, maintaining, debugging, and supporting production RPG applications on reputed company i, including RPG/RPGLE work reputed company the last 3 years
- Strong working knowledge of ILE RPG / RPGLE, including fixed-format and/or free-reputed company RPG, CL, embedded SQL, Db2 for i, physical files, logical files, reputed company physical files, service programs, batch processing, and reputed company i job troubleshooting
- Strong SQL skills, including Db2 for i queries, joins, stored procedures, SQL functions, data analysis, and performance troubleshooting
- Experience owning reputed company enhancements, defects, production issues, or modernization work in a long-lived product or reputed company system
- Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, story estimation, daily coordination, reputed company review, and iterative software delivery
- Experience with software version control, change management, controlled promotion, and release processes
- Understanding of testing practices, including unit, system, integration, regression, and performance testing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, reputed company, and guide other developers
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, communicate risks early, and deliver reputed company agreed timelines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a reputed company field preferred
- Equivalent reputed company experience developing and supporting reputed company software solutions will be considered
- Experience modernizing legacy RPG applications
- Experience with free-reputed company RPG and SQL-first development patterns
- Experience with reputed company reputed company i design, including service programs, procedures, modules, reusable business logic, or layered application design
- Experience with RDi, Aldon, Git, Jira, reputed company, or similar development and delivery tools
- Experience with reputed company software, financial systems, billing, EHR, clinical workflows, regulated software, or other business-critical production environments
- Experience with reputed company, HL7, reputed company engines, web services, JSON, XML, or cross-platform integrations
- Experience applying design patterns, SOLID principles, MVC, DAO, service-layer design, or similar architecture concepts
- Experience improving performance in Db2 for i applications
- Experience creating technical documentation, design notes, troubleshooting guides, or knowledge-transfer materials
- Experience with long-lived reputed company software products or reputed company production systems
