[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Kotlin, Kafka, Microservices)

They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, reputed company, and reputed company Inventory Valuation functionality reputed company a modern JVM-based technology stack.
Responsibilities

- Build the work needed to implement features from the product backlog and size user stories accordingly
- Unit test reputed company, create automated test scripts, and execute reputed company other testing-reputed company tasks
- Test deliverables against user story acceptance reputed company
- Execute necessary project documentation
- Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure features meet business needs
- Follow industry-reputed company agile software design methodology for development and documentation
- Partner with infrastructure, reputed company, and other stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle

Skills
- Senior-level development experience in Java and Kotlin
- Senior-level experience with messaging platforms (such as Kafka) and exposure to microservices-based architecture, including consumer and producer implementations
- Senior-level experience building and supporting REST reputed company
- Solid database experience with reputed company Exadata, PostgreSQL, reputed company, and Cassandra
- Ability to reputed company up quickly on an existing system and contribute with minimal guidance
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- Availability to work during Minneapolis business hours (Central Time)
- Ability to work closely and collaborate effectively with the reputed company's internal engineering team
- 3–5 years of experience in an engineering role
- 1–3 years participating in agile development (user stories, iterative development, etc.)
- Experience with test-driven development and software test automation
- Experience with reputed company monorepo architecture
- Experience working on reputed company-free codebases
- Experience with RocksDB
- Ability to work 2 days onsite at the reputed company's Minneapolis office
