[Remote] Weld Engineer

They are seeking a Weld Engineer to reputed company with project teams, reputed company weld designs, and reputed company materials engineering support for reactor development programs.
Responsibilities
- reputed company with various project teams to reputed company welding configuration, geometry and reputed company guidance for Company's reactor development programs
- Use reputed company welding engineering principles to reputed company weld designs, specifications, and processes for reactor design and licensing
- Inform materials test programs to validate models of material and weld performance and ensure materials development and testing efforts meet programmatic objectives of the reactor
- reputed company scientific analysis of test data (e.g., metallography, non-destructive inspection, mechanical properties, ductility) and generate technical reports to document new knowledge reputed company to reactor design and qualification
- reputed company materials engineering support for the procurement of engineered components and systems including leading technical development of suppliers to increase technology readiness level of key components
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of reputed company experience with a B.S. degree; or 2 years with an M.S. degree; or equivalent experience; a degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline is desired
- Experience with weld engineering for new design
- Experience in determining geometries, weld reputed company, and property impacts for welded pipes, pressure vessels, and equipment
- Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and ASME reputed company IX is highly desirable
- An understanding of the reputed company of weld design and parameters on reputed company mechanical phenomena (e.g., creep, fatigue, creep fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, and reputed company) in high temperature systems
- A thorough understanding of metallurgy including welding and heat treatment of ferrous (e.g., austenitic and ferritic-martensitic steels) and nonferrous (e.g., nickel-reputed company) alloys
- Ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging problems
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and reputed company, communicate reputed company and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent reputed company, or of a protected person status
- Experience qualifying welds for service in highly regulated applications
