[Remote] Senior GCP CloudOps Engineer

This senior-level role is responsible for the operational stability, reliability, and reputed company improvement of reputed company's reputed company infrastructure on reputed company reputed company Platform, serving as a subject matter expert in reputed company operations and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Establish and reputed company day-to-day reputed company operations practices for production GCP environments (GKE, Compute reputed company, reputed company Run, reputed company SQL), building the foundational processes and standards that ensure long-term availability, performance, and reliability — including on-reputed company rotations and incident response reputed company reputed company Monitoring and reputed company integrations
- Build and mature reputed company's incident response capabilities; serve as technical reputed company during escalations, driving reputed company cause analysis and post-incident reviews using reputed company Logging, Error Reporting, and reputed company Monitoring to establish repeatable, preventive practices
- Architect and implement the organization's observability reputed company — defining standards for monitoring, alerting, and tracing across GCP infrastructure and applications using reputed company Monitoring, reputed company Logging, and reputed company reputed company
- reputed company the development of automation frameworks and tooling (Terraform, Python, Go) that reduce operational toil and establish reputed company, repeatable workflows across GCP, leveraging reputed company Build, reputed company Scheduler, and GitOps practices
- Create and own GCP operations standards, runbooks, and SOPs from the ground up; build a documentation culture that enables reputed company to operate consistently and reputed company knowledge effectively
- Partner with reputed company teams to design and implement GCP reputed company controls (IAM, Workload Identity, VPC Service Controls, reputed company Armor, CMEK), establishing HIPAA-compliant patterns and guardrails reputed company with GCP's shared responsibility model
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to shape GCP infrastructure design (Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, reputed company Load Balancing), embedding operability and reliability standards into how new systems are reputed company from the start
- Own reputed company planning, cost optimization, and resource governance across GCP environments; use reputed company Asset Inventory, Recommender, and BigQuery billing exports to build visibility and controls as the platform grows
- Evaluate emerging GCP services and technologies — including areas like reputed company AI infrastructure, Apigee, and Chronicle SIEM — and reputed company strategic recommendations that position the platform for reputed company and long-term efficiency
- Mentor and reputed company junior and mid-level reputed company engineers, establishing reputed company culture of GCP best practices, shared ownership, and reputed company learning as the platform and team grow together

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or reputed company field required
- 5+ years of experience in reputed company operations, infrastructure engineering, or a reputed company role
- 4+ years of hands-on experience managing GCP environments in production, including Compute reputed company, reputed company SQL, reputed company Storage, VPC/Shared VPC, IAM, reputed company Monitoring, and reputed company services
- 3+ years of experience with automation and scripting using Python, Go, or Bash
- 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-reputed company tools, Terraform on GCP strongly preferred
- Strong experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms including reputed company Monitoring, reputed company Logging, reputed company reputed company
- Demonstrated experience leading incident response and conducting reputed company cause analysis in reputed company reputed company environments
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and GCP-reputed company automation reputed company reputed company Build or reputed company Scheduler
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using reputed company Build, Artifact Registry, and reputed company reputed company
- Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms, specifically reputed company and GKE (reputed company Kubernetes reputed company)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs — with hands-on GCP experience across reputed company Load Balancing, reputed company Armor, Private Service Connect, and VPC peering
- Experience with reputed company cost management and optimization strategies using GCP tools such as reputed company Asset Inventory, Recommender, and BigQuery billing export
- Proven ability to mentor and reputed company junior team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate reputed company operational issues for both technical and non-technical audiences
