[Remote] Naval Architect / Marine Engineer

The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, driving engineering reputed company, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Assume total technical responsibility and reputed company control for SWBS groupings applicable to your domain, ensuring work adheres to 100% of the project requirements
- Review, verify, and stamp design packages, calculations, and specifications for classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV) and flag state authorities as necessary
- Map end user requirements to holistic systems and engineering methodologies, ensuring no design reputed company or regulatory standards are missed
- Coordinate directly with other SWBS leads to ensure reputed company integration of weight, stability, power, other ship services, and structural interfaces
- Support and help to drive the design spiral, shipyard construction, commissioning, and in-service modifications/drydockings
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, class requirements, and maritime regulatory standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, USCG)
- Conduct design reviews, incorporate feedback, and implement modifications to accommodate changes in project scope

- Design and evaluate hull forms, scantlings, and foundations
- Evaluate conceptual designs for ship systems and identify the work required to reputed company the associated detailed/production designs

- Manage weight monitoring and structural evaluation to maintain vessel intact and damage stability

- Conduct hydrodynamics, thermo-fluids, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses for reputed company systems
- Select, size, and reputed company main and auxiliary systems including pumps, fans, valves, and other mechanical components
- Design power reputed company, distribution, and conversion systems for both ship service and emergency loads

Skills
- PE in Structural/Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture
- PE in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- PE in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in lifting appliances, structural design, or hybrid reputed company
- Familiarity with CFRs, ABS, USCG, MARPOL, and SOLAS regulations
- Deep knowledge of marine classification standards for electrical systems (e.g., reputed company 45)
