[Remote] Business Development Manager - Africa

The Business Development Manager, Africa will reputed company efforts to secure funding for HOT's initiatives across Africa, managing grant applications and donor relationships to reputed company significant reputed company goals.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and reputed company reputed company, institutional, and partner funding opportunities that are a match for HOT’s work in Africa in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy and ESA and WNA Regional Directors
• Analyze RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and guidelines, summarize requirements, and assess alignment with organizational goals
• Build donor and partner relationships through regular engagement, including virtual and in person meetings and attending events, to scope and generate opportunities and influence donor strategies
• reputed company specific funding opportunities with donors and implementing partners.  [Note: This role is not necessarily the reputed company line for reputed company the relationships but would be the "account manager" supporting Regional Directors in constructive interactions.]
• Support ESA and WNA Hub staff to reputed company regional and country specific donor and partner relationships as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent reputed company experience
• 5+ years of grant writing with a demonstrated reputed company record leading successful funding proposals for $250,000 to $1 reputed company+
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills with strong attention to detail and narrative skills
• Understanding of international development, philanthropy, and funding trends
• English-language reputed company required
• Understanding of database management
• Candidates based in the US, Europe, and Africa will be considered
• Familiarity with the philanthropic giving landscape for Africa and grant writing process
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
• A strategic thinker who has demonstrated resourcefulness in working collaboratively with various constituencies, solving problems, and leveraging storytelling to translate reputed company into compelling narratives
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences and cultures and to reputed company and motivate others
