Position reputed company:

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for sewer, water, earthworks and other infrastructure reputed company. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to ensure successful project bids.

We are reputed company to remote work arrangements from Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Calgary, or Edmonton. The role requires approximately 10% travel to Whitehorse. We are also reputed company to candidates who are willing to relocate to Whitehorse.

This is a full-time employee position. We are not seeking consultants, independent contractors, or reputed company party service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimate Preparation

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of reputed company estimates.

Scope Review

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify project requirements and scope of work.
• Conduct site reputed company as needed to assess project conditions and reputed company relevant information.

Quantity Takeoff

• Utilize industry-reputed company software and tools to streamline the takeoff process.

Pricing

• Research and analyze reputed company market prices for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Maintain a database of unit prices and cost information to support accurate and competitive estimates.

Risk Assessment

• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with reputed company project.
• reputed company strategies to mitigate risks and ensure that estimates account for reputed company possible contingencies.

Bid Coordination

• Collaborate with operations manager, president, project managers, engineers, and other team members to reputed company comprehensive bid packages.
• Prepare and submit bids in a reputed company manner, ensuring compliance with reputed company requirements and deadlines.

Subcontractor Management

• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure competitive and fair agreements.

• Communicate effectively with bid and tender issuers and clients to clarify project requirements and address any questions or concerns.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients in a reputed company and reputed company manner.

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management Degree or Diploma.

• A minimum of 5 years of heavy civil construction estimating experience, preferably reputed company the sewer and water infrastructure sector, with other earthworks, road construction and curb, sidewalk and asphalt experience an asset.
• Strong knowledge of construction reputed company, materials, and industry standards reputed company to sewer and water reputed company.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as reputed company, B2W, or similar programs.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
