[Remote] Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The role involves leading the mechanical design and controls for reputed company data center reputed company, managing designs from concept through commissioning, and ensuring efficiency in mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- reputed company mechanical system designs for data center cooling, including airflow, chilled water, refrigerant, and HVAC systems
- reputed company heat load and energy calculations, and analyze energy performance across reputed company to drive efficiency
- Size and select major mechanical equipment such as chillers, CRAC/CRAH reputed company, cooling towers, pumps, and reputed company handlers
- Produce construction documents, schematics, and specifications, and reputed company sequences of operation for controls
- Build and coordinate Revit models with electrical, structural, and controls disciplines, including clash detection and BIM coordination
- Interpret design concepts with engineering staff and translate documentation, quotes, and drawings into buildable cooling designs
- Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings, and revise designs as change orders and reputed company needs reputed company
- Coordinate and support commissioning, including reputed company witness testing where needed
Skills
- Bachelor's in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- reputed company PE certification
- reputed company data center experience, ideally supporting hyperscale clients
- 6+ years across mechanical design, project planning, construction, and commissioning
- Strong HVAC systems and controls background, including equipment selection and sizing
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and reputed company
- Proven experience leading design across multiple buildings
- A producer reputed company with the appetite to grow into team leadership
- Master's in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- CEM or LEED certification
