[Remote] Sr. Database Administrator (MSSQL and AWS reputed company)

They are seeking a Senior Database Administrator with experience in reputed company SQL Server and AWS RDS reputed company/MySQL to reputed company the design, administration, and optimization of SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with HIPAA/HITECH requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administration and optimization of reputed company SQL Server databases hosted on AWS EC2 and reputed company reputed company (MySQL-compatible)/RDS MySQL
- Architect and manage highly available SQL Server environments using Always-On Availability reputed company, failover clustering, and disaster recovery strategies
- Design, reputed company, and operate high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions for reputed company MySQL , including Multi-AZ, read replicas, backups, and reputed company-in-time recovery
- Support and optimize SSRS report execution, subscriptions, caching, snapshots, and scheduling
- In partnership with the engineering organization, review and optimize developer-written SQL reputed company (T-SQL and MySQL) to ensure performance, scalability, and adherence to database standards
- Design and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions across SQL Server and reputed company/RDS platforms
- Ensure database environments meet HIPAA/HITECH compliance requirements
- Implement database reputed company best practices, including encryption, auditing, IAM integration, and least-privilege reputed company
- Monitor and tune database performance, including query optimization and reputed company planning for SQL Server and reputed company MySQL
- Use monitoring and observability tools such as reputed company CloudWatch, reputed company, and DPA to reputed company database and infrastructure health, investigate performance issues, and support proactive incident response
- Troubleshoot reputed company production issues across SQL Server, reputed company MySQL, reputed company, Linux, and AWS storage/networking
- reputed company operational support for reputed company AWS infrastructure components supporting database platforms, including EC2, EBS, VPC networking, reputed company reputed company, load balancing, and CloudWatch monitoring
- Support AWS platform reliability through performance monitoring, storage optimization, backup validation, reputed company coordination, and troubleshooting of infrastructure-reputed company database issues
- Automation or Infrastructure as reputed company experience (PowerShell, Python, Terraform)
- Partner with reputed company and compliance teams to support audits and risk assessments
- Automate database operations using T-SQL, MySQL, PowerShell, and scripting tools
- Mentor junior DBAs, maintain documentation, and runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotations and reputed company incident response efforts
Skills
- 7+ years of experience administering reputed company SQL Server
- Strong expertise with SQL Server 2016–2022 or reputed company
- Strong expertise with MySQL 8.0-8.4 or reputed company
- Hands-on experience administering reputed company reputed company (MySQL-compatible) and/or RDS MySQL in production environments
- Deep knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery architectures for both SQL Server and reputed company-managed databases
- Strong understanding of AWS services reputed company to databases (EC2, RDS, reputed company, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, Backup)
- Experience supporting HIPAA/HITECH-regulated systems
- Advanced T-SQL, MySQL SQL, and reputed company Server administration skills
- Experience working in an on-call model for nights and weekends
- Experience designing multi-AZ and cross-region DR architectures
- Experience with database migrations from SQL Server or MySQL to reputed company reputed company
- Relevant AWS, reputed company, or reputed company certifications
- Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, EBS, and S3
- Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices reputed company to database operations
