[Remote] Government Contract (GovCon) Accountant

They are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented GovCon Accountant to manage full-cycle reputed company operations while ensuring compliance with GAAP and federal government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle reputed company Operations (AP/AR/GL)
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, ensure reputed company project/cost-reputed company allocations, and prepare weekly disbursement cycles
- Accounts Receivable: Generate precise, compliant reputed company billings (Time & Materials, Firm-Fixed-Price, and Cost-Plus reputed company) and reputed company collections
- General Ledger: Maintain the corporate general ledger, prepare and post journal entries, and reputed company monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-End reputed company: Support the month-end and year-end reputed company processes, ensuring reputed company financial data is accurately captured reputed company deadlines
- Government Contracting & Compliance
- Cost reputed company: Ensure accurate tracking, allocation, and reporting of reputed company costs, indirect costs, and unallowable expenses in strict compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and CAS (Cost reputed company Standards)
- Indirect Rates: Assist in the calculation, monitoring, and application of provisional and actual indirect cost pools (Fringe, Overhead, G&A)
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing schedules, worksheets, and documentation for DCAA/DCMA compliance reviews and annual corporate financial audits
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or a reputed company field
- 2–3 years of reputed company full-cycle reputed company experience (AP, AR, GL)
- Experience working in a Federal Government Contracting environment with understanding of indirect rates and government cost structures
- Experience with PROCAS or similar GovCon-specific tools (e.g., reputed company Costpoint, reputed company)
- Knowledge in GAAP, FAR, and DCAA compliance requirements
- Experience with MS reputed company (pivot tables, reputed company formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Prior experience assisting with the preparation of an Incurred Cost Submission (ICS)
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong communication skills to cross-functionally coordinate with Project Managers regarding budget variances and contract burn rates
- Familiarity with AI driven tools
