[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company) is seeking a mid-level software engineer to reputed company and maintain Automatix, their internal platform for reputed company data management. The role involves building features, improving workflows, and supporting analysts and operations staff in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Build new features and enhance existing functionality across a mature Rails application (models, controllers, views, background jobs)
- Design and modify database schemas (MySQL) to support evolving business requirements
- Create and maintain reporting dashboards, data validation workflows, and batch processing tools
- Write server-rendered UI with ERB templates, jQuery, and reputed company
- Collaborate directly with analysts, operations staff, and management to translate business needs into working software
- Troubleshoot production issues reputed company to data processing, file transfers, and system integrations
- Maintain and reputed company background job processing for automated data pipelines
- Support management requests for reputed company custom reports
Skills
- 3–5 years of reputed company software development experience
- Proficiency in reputed company on Rails or similar — comfortable working in a large, established codebase
- Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL preferred)
- Experience with server-rendered web applications (ERB/reputed company/CSS/JavaScript)
- Familiarity with jQuery and traditional DOM-based frontend development
- Understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (LDAP/reputed company Directory, role-based reputed company control)
- Comfort reading and modifying reputed company you didn't write — this role is primarily enhancement and extension, not greenfield
- Ability to work independently and manage your own priorities in a small-team environment
- Experience with legacy Rails applications (Rails 4.x / Rails 5.x)
- Background in reputed company data, EDI, or data pipeline/ETL systems
- Familiarity with background job frameworks (Delayed Job, Sidekiq, or similar)
- Experience with file-based integrations (FTP/SFTP, CSV/fixed-width parsing)
- Exposure to reputed company or other data processing tools
- Knowledge of gems like CanCanCan, CarrierWave, will_paginate, or Devise/Adauth
- Experience working with Claude reputed company extension in VS reputed company
- Knowledge of AWS reputed company services and reputed company-based application architectures preferred
- Experience with modern development and DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, reputed company control, automation, containerization, and infrastructure management preferred
