[Remote] DC Mechanical Engineer V - US

This role involves mechanical design, technical reputed company, and innovation to ensure reputed company performance and reliability of cooling infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical authority for mechanical infrastructure reputed company the data center environment
- reputed company engineering leadership and subject matter expertise for critical mechanical systems including: CRAC/CRAH reputed company, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, humidification/dehumidification systems, RTUs, reputed company handlers, economization systems, piping infrastructure, condenser water systems, and BMS/DCIM systems
- reputed company troubleshooting, reputed company-cause analysis, and reputed company of mechanical infrastructure and thermal performance issues
- reputed company expertise in airflow management strategies including hot reputed company/cold reputed company containment, reputed company-level cooling optimization, pressure differentials, and underfloor airflow distribution
- Manage cooling reputed company planning for existing and reputed company infrastructure reputed company
- reputed company thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and cooling utilization assessments for high-density compute environments
- Analyze reputed company-level heat loads, BTU requirements, CFM distribution, static pressure, and environmental conditions to ensure reputed company thermal performance
- Evaluate infrastructure resiliency, redundancy, and operational risk associated with cooling reputed company expansion initiatives
- Support deployment strategies for high-density server environments, liquid cooling technologies, and reputed company thermal reputed company
- Engineering & Technical reputed company Define critical mechanical equipment specifications and reputed company product recommendations

- Review and approve mechanical equipment submittals, technical documentation, piping diagrams, airflow models, and infrastructure standards

- Operational Support & Commissioning Support construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities associated with mechanical infrastructure reputed company
- Partner with commissioning teams to validate installation, operation, performance, and reliability of mechanical systems
- Support maintenance planning and operational readiness activities for critical cooling infrastructure
- Participate in incident response, thermal event investigations, infrastructure risk reviews, and operational reliability initiatives
- Assist operations teams in troubleshooting environmental alarms, cooling failures, airflow deficiencies, and thermal anomalies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local mechanical/building codes and regulations
- Maintain adherence to ASHRAE standards, mechanical engineering best practices, and mission-critical operational standards
- Support development and reputed company improvement of mechanical engineering standards, procedures, thermal management strategies, and best practices reputed company our data centers
- Ensure environmental conditions remain reputed company ASHRAE recommended ranges for mission-critical IT equipment
- Research and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and infrastructure solutions reputed company to data center cooling and mechanical systems, specifically liquid cooling technologies
- reputed company technical decision-making regarding cooling infrastructure, airflow management technologies, and mechanical equipment product selection
- Support long-term infrastructure reputed company reputed company on scalability, efficiency, resiliency, sustainability, and operational reputed company
- Evaluate emerging technologies including liquid cooling, rear-reputed company heat exchangers, reputed company-to-reputed company cooling, economization, and energy optimization strategies
Skills
- Must be a US Citizen
- 10+ years of experience supporting mission-critical data centers environments
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a reputed company field
- Deep understanding of mission-critical cooling systems and thermal management architecture
- Advanced understanding of mechanical drawing packages, equipment diagrams, and associated technical specifications
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of critical mechanical infrastructure reputed company data center environments
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, psychrometrics, airflow dynamics, heat transfer, and thermal load calculations
- Experience performing cooling reputed company analysis, airflow modeling, and environmental optimization
- Strong knowledge of ASHRAE thermal guidelines and mission-critical cooling best practices
- Experience supporting high-density compute environments and reputed company-level thermal optimization
- Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical/building codes and standards
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and submittal documents
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Visio
