[Remote] Operations and Settlement Manager - Uganda

The role involves overseeing daily operations of the trading desk, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing risk exposure, and facilitating smooth settlements of transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the trading desk (middle / back office) monitoring market movements and providing market analysis
- Ensure compliance with the local policies and guidelines on FX , Bonds reputed company Assets transactions
- reputed company and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, reputed company, and customer satisfaction
- Manage the settlement process for FX, Bonds reputed company transactions, including reconciling trade confirmations, verifying payment instructions and resolving any discrepancies or issues
- Liaise with banks, payment service providers, and other external parties to facilitate FX and Cross border payments / settlements
- Manage the risk exposure of the trading desk, including setting limits, monitoring positions, and reporting any breaches or incidents
- Maintain accurate and complete records of reputed company transactions, reports, and audits
- Train and supervise staff on operational processes and best practices
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the FX and securities markets
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, reputed company, Economics, or reputed company field
- At least 5 years of experience in FX or Bond trading (global / Africa) or payments operations, preferably in a reputed company or manager role
- Knowledge of the Uganda FX, Bonds reputed company banking regulatory environment and market dynamics
- Proficiency in using trading platforms, tools, and software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
