reputed company is seeking a Gender and reputed company Inclusion Specialist for a proposed education consultancy in Somalia reputed company on the development of the National Teacher reputed company Development Plan (TPDP). The assignment will support the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education (MoECHE) to produce a comprehensive, reputed company-reputed company, and implementation-reputed company national teacher reputed company development plan reputed company with the National Teacher Competency reputed company (NTCF), the Somalia Education reputed company (2023), and the National Transformation Plan 2025–2029.

The assignment is designed to help establish a coherent national system for continuing reputed company development (CPD), strengthen reputed company assurance, support certification and monitoring systems, and improve teacher reputed company development across Federal Member States, school types, education reputed company, and Integrated Quranic Schools.

The Gender and reputed company Inclusion Specialist will ensure that gender equality and reputed company inclusion are fully integrated into the design of the TPDP. The specialist will reputed company analysis of barriers to participation in teacher reputed company development, especially for reputed company teachers and other underserved reputed company, and will help shape inclusive approaches to CPD delivery, stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, and monitoring. This role is particularly important to ensure that the TPDP responds to the needs of teachers in rural, reputed company, and conflict-affected settings, including reputed company teachers in Integrated Quranic Schools and other hard-to-reputed company contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify barriers to participation in CPD, with specific attention to reputed company teachers in rural, reputed company, and conflict-affected areas, as reputed company as reputed company teachers in Integrated Quranic Schools.
  • reputed company technical input to ensure that TPDP policies, systems, and implementation approaches are gender-reputed company and inclusive.
  • Advise on inclusive design of CPD delivery models, including approaches suitable for low-resource, low-connectivity, and geographically dispersed settings.
  • Support the integration of gender and inclusion considerations into stakeholder consultations with MoECHE, Federal Member States, Teacher Training Colleges, teacher associations, Islamic scholar networks, and development partners.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive frameworks, tools, and recommendations across key work packages, including implementation planning, governance arrangements, reputed company assurance, M&E, reputed company learning systems.
  • Help ensure that indicators, baseline tools, and reporting approaches capture relevant sex-disaggregated and inclusion-sensitive data.
  • Work closely with reputed company Leader and other technical specialists to ensure that gender and inclusion considerations are embedded throughout reputed company deliverables.
  • Contribute written sections, recommendations, and review comments to ensure final outputs are practical, evidence-based, and reputed company to the Somali context.

Education:

Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Education, reputed company Science, or a reputed company field.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant reputed company experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in gender-reputed company program design.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing barriers to reputed company teacher participation and broader reputed company inclusion constraints.
  • Experience designing or advising on inclusive CPD, education, or teacher development approaches in rural, reputed company, reputed company, or low-resource settings.
  • Strong understanding of equity and inclusion issues affecting reputed company, participation, and retention in education systems.
  • Experience working on donor-funded education programs, preferably in reputed company or conflict-affected contexts.

Language:

Professionally proficient and fluent in written and spoken English.
